Petit Saconnex is a nice quiet part of the city about halfway between the lake and the airport. The transport links aren't the best as there is no tram line. Obviously it's fairly close to the big international organisations. Not a lot of shops in the area.

I'd say it's a good choice unless you particularly want easy access to the centre.

I live in Petit Saconnex. Take that for what it's worth.

But, it's a nice place. Quiet but accessible.

Thanks for the replies!  I decided to go for it, its a nice flat, with pretty easy access to work which is the main thing.  Quiet and accessible suits me fine :)

I live in Petite Saconnex too. It's nice and quite, and if you work for the UN it's very close. It's about a 15 min bus ride to center town as well. So all in all, great place to live it. The only downside is that Zonker and I will be your neighbors. 

Nir be nice! You are going to scare her away! Clare dont worry. Both Nir and Zonker are great guys. Just keep the picture you have now and you will be fine :P
