No USB in car music player

Hello,

My car has a CD player with no USB port. I've checked a few youtube videos and I dont think I can DI myself.

Any suggestions who could do this i.e. Install a USB port + connect it to the stereos?

the fastest and cheapest option is a FM transmitter:

Most probably your autoradio / CD player has an AUX port, look for it. If this is the case, you can connect your smartphone or iPod to it via an audio jack cable (male at both ends).

Otherwise, a FM transmitter is a good option. Make sure it has an embedded USB port.

@mbgoldst: these are only for charging USB devices and cannot read any data.

We have an old car (2007) and we have the same problem as yours. For the moment my husband uses the FM transmitter but planning to change the autoradio. Here is a link where he plans to buy:

FM transmitter is not a good idea, as voice quality will be terrible. The only solution would be to go for a Bluetooth adapter. But it would cost you around 100 bucks, if you want to save some money you can try DYI soldering cables for a bluetooth receiver but i wont recommend you if you don't know what you are doing. The best bet would be change the Head-unit.

Go to aliexpress order a android head unit for your car. you will have usb, bluetooth, GPS, backup camera blabla and all the stuff you need in around 200-300frs. It is not very complicated to change. if you need help. bring your car and few beers on a weekend.
