i've been running windows7 with bootcamp and parallels desktop for over a year now...it's pretty simple -- just look online for free and helpful guides!

That lower image is about the crappiest advertising I have ever seen. They have set up a virtual desktop running in X, and then they have though what MS applications are really exclusive to Windows? What Windows applications can no X user ever live without? How can we really push this to the Mac community?
And then, probably after a few days of meetings, brainstrorming, caffeine-fueled all-nighters, some high-end guru of product marketing has gone I KNOW!! LADS, PUT YOUR PENS DOWN, I'VE GOT IT... How about... The File Manager, and the desktop calculator!!! Nothing says Microsoft like the File Manager and the desktop calculator. And there was probably a round of applause. The graphics guys came up with the goods, and all the forms were signed.
But to top it all, there is a little popup in the task bar asking if you want to and find some goddamn antivirus software! Way to sell a product there!
