Older members....

Happy New Year everyone....

I started work close to Nyon about three months ago now, and joined Glocals on the recommendation of the girl leaving the job I took.  She had some great times and met a few people, but when I looked (longingly!!!!) at the pix of the Christmas pary, everyone seems very young, and very beautiful!!!

Luckily, I haven't been battered with an ugly stick, but I seem to come in at a little older than most on here....(cringe)....I just wondered if there are any activities/meet ups for the more senior members?

Thank you!!

ps...I'm still younger than Madonna!!!!

Thank you Michelle...I don't qualify for the over 55 group yet, but I will keep a look out for events and may try and sneak in Laughing

Sari, it is indeed true that it is important to feel young in your mind and heart - and it is also very true that feeling isolated and homesick does add years to the way a person feels.....That's why I would love to get involevd in some activities and make some friends.

I miss friends and family in England, and sometimes I wonder what on earth I was thinking of, accepting a job in another country - especially as I only have (incredibly) rusty schoolgirl French.  But I have a lovely job, working for lovely family - I just need to get out more!!!

I'm sure I will make friends through Glocals...so it's something to look forward to for 2013 Smile

Hi Liz
I feel with you. I'm also wondering where the heck are the people over 35 and what are they doing in their spare time? Anyway, you don't have all that much information in your profile as to what your interests are. I live in Bern and I recently started to go to rock concerts (for example at the Reithalle) if that's something you are in to, get in touch.

Marion

PS I'm in the 40+ group Smile
