Just wondering!!
I will be doing a training in Geneva for 4 months only. Is that good enough to convience any bank to open up an account with them or I can't do so since banks ask for a work permit?
Anyone can help?
With thanks,

Not sure of the need to open an account for ony 4 months...why not use what cards you already have (credit/cash cards etc...) or do you require an account to be paid ? My thought is that the bank would need some sort of permit - perhaps from your employer ?

Thanks a lot Jeffery. That was very helpful indeed.
I have been looking that issue as I will be arriving in GVA from France.
I called up UBS and they told me I didn't need a work permit to open an account. My work contract is sufficient and I need to send them my work permit when I have it.
