Hello,
my friend is coming to visit me tonight and we were thinking about going to the Orange Cinema thing at Port Noir. We were kind of hoping to take a picnic and some wine and watch the film. My main questions are, are you allowed to drink food/drink onto the site, what's the best way to get out there from Cornavin and do the movies have subtitles, not that this is a problem. Oh also, do you have to be an Orange customer to buy tickets?
Thanks!

Here is the website:
You can buy your ticket on-line.
Here is the program:
If marked VF it will be dubbed in French. If VO (and an American film) it will be in English with subtitles.
Since they have eating facilities I do not think that they would like you to bring your own stuff. You might be able to smuggle it in in your purse though.

Aye, I already had a wee look at the site but couldn't really find answers to my questions, apart from how to get there I guess. They have food stalls and stuff which makes me suspect I might get thwarted if I try and bring my own stuff. At 17CHF a pop though, you'd hope not.

It is written that dogs aren't allowed... Nothing about food.
Avoid hot dogs to be sure...

To answer your food question as clearly as I can. NO you are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks (similar to any movie theater). BUT that is not to say that with a big purse that you could not bring something with you as long as you are discrete about it. Your choice.
The CHF 17 is the standard price for a movie here.
Tonight's movie, since it is in VO, will probably be in English.

Thanks yeah I think I've got it sussed. That's steep for a movie, I'll miss those £3.50 student rates....
Anyway, I'm excited it looks pretty fun. Bought my tickets so we're good to go. Thanks for your help, now just gotta hope I can find the place ok.
