I agree for the Lyon possibility, already did it twice, was worth it price-wise. As France is a market with much more competition, you often find much better deals.

However, you should know that very often you don't know your flight hours when you book, and they could be quite awful.

Prices are always cheaper in the UK but you need to give a UK address e.g parents or friends. If you say you live in Switzerland, they often refuse.  It is possible to book with Thomas Cook for instance and arrange departure from Switzerland
