How did I guess that your were Canadian?

Peameal bacon is called "bacon enrobé de pois" in French (Canadian). I can't find any references to it on Google.ch so my guess is that if they have it (why not) but that they use another term.

You best bet would be to go to a butcher and try to describe what you are looking for. When you find it, you can tell us.

Good luck.

Interesting.

I've never heard of that (but then, that's true for a lot of stuff).

I came upon this discussion in the (German/English) LEO Forum:

Am I right that the bacon has to be marinated?

If you need it for Christmas, you are a bit late, but otherwise: why not make it yourself?
