Did you find a piano tuner in the end?  I am looking for one too, preferably who can speak English and will also appreciate knowing how much they charge here...

The guy spoke little english but enough to do what he needed to do (I asked someone to speak to him on the phone in french in advance).

I ended up getting a guy from kneifel pianos to come and tune my piano. He was really nice. He spoke some english and I speak some french so it was fine. Their shop is in 15 rue de la rotissserie. http://www.kneifel.ch/

I was just walking past one day and saw it. The lady in there had fluent english so it was no problem at all to arrange it.

It was CHF190. I would definitely recommend them.

There is a music shop called chorus in Gex they will give you all information for a specialist who comes to your place for hundred Euros.....

I am catching up this old thread, hopefully someone can recommend more a good piano tuner in Geneva or France.

Also one more question: any expert can advise how often the tune is needed for a piano? I was told by Kneifel it should be 1 year time, and they now offer 250chf, which was 190chf mentioned by Tara in 2012.
