Public transport in Geneva

Hello guys!

I'm gonna arrive in Geneva very soon..

Can anyone tell me how to get to 50 route de veyrier carouge from the central train station?

I've tried to look for it on the internet but all of the websites on public transport I could find were in French...that I didn't understand..

and.. also, how much would it cost if I take a taxi? I think it's approximately 3.5 km away.

Thank you guys!

Post 1

welcome!

according to map.search.ch, the nearest bus stop to this address is Val-d'Arve. bus #s 11 and 21 stop there.

according to tpg.ch, to reach this address via public transport:

from the central train station (Gare Cornavin), take tram #13 (direction Palettes; the tram is directly in front of the train station's main entrance). get off at Marche, then take bus #11 (direction Bout-du-Monde). the bus stop is right beside the tram stop.

alternatively, you can take bus # 8 (direction Veyrier-Tournettes). get off at Louis-Aubert, then take bus #21 (direction Louis Hubert).

IMO the first option is better as bus # 11 seems to run more frequently. plus, taking the tram, you'd get to see the pretty carouge area :)

by taxi, from the central train station until this address, it would cost you anywhere around 30 - 80 CHF, depending on the traffic.
