When I first arrived in Geneva in 2008, glocals was an invaluable resource and one person who helped make it so was Charlie Simeon. He was my first client in Geneva. My son joined Kung Fu because his daughter was also taking it and they were the same age and both spoke Rusisan. Over the years, Charlie offered advice to countless glocals members, always patient and quite knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics.
Sadly, Charlie died in the evening of 26 November 2025 after a short illness.
His last wish was to be sent home to the UK to be close to his father. His children, Henry and Ella, have setup a GoFund me page to help send him home.
