
"Fed up with the noise, a 79 year man took matters into his own hands leaving one in a critical condition.
A night of partying took a turn for the worse this morning when an old town resident opened fire on a group leaving the Petit Palace club on the Rue de la Tour-de-Boël in Geneva.
The 79 year confronted the group about the noise they were making, and after a heated discussion leant out of his window and opened fire with a hand gun at around 4.30.
A 29 year man was hit in the stomach and transported to Geneva's cantonal hospital.
A special police unit were called to the scene and a perimeter was set up around club which was in place until midday.
After brief negotiations the shooter gave himself up. An investigation is underway."
