I have a friend visiting and he really wants to go rafting, does anyone have any hints or tips?

check out the town of chateau d'oex between bulle and gruyere. they have a rafting center with guided tours.

You can also do rafting in Thonon and Megève/Chamonix, neighboring France. Apparently they leave even from Annemasse.

thank you very much, my friend is visiting from the 9th - 14th and I do not particularly want to go so I just wanted to find rafting for him while I work or something like that :-)

there is a rafting school in Geneva! They ride on the Arve, and depart from the bridge under Tram 15 "Acacias" stop.
