Regie wages war on satelite - lawyer required!
Hi,

So my pain in the a$$ regie continues to give me grief about my satelite dish.

First of all I had a small dish hanging over the balcon which they said I must remove - fair enough, I removed it and got another one to mount actually inside the balcon and assumed the matter closed. Wrong!

The owner's lawyer has sent me a letter stating that I must remove the dish completely because if he allowed me to keep mine then others would be able to install theirs too which would (this is the best bit) "result in an multiplication of such installations". :w00t: !!

As far as I know others cannot doctate as to what I can and cannot place the confines of my private balcony space; furthermore I believe there is something in the Swiss consitution that states my entitlement to receive foreign media since I am ofcourse a foreigner.

So now I am looking for an English/French speaking lawyer who can advise me on this and send a letter if neccessary.

Can anybody recommend sucha lawyer or has anybody else found themselves in a similar scenario and has some advice to impart?

Cheers

Damn bro, between this and the scam attemt you faced, your 'welcome to CH' ain't nothing too nice!

Give a quick call to Asloca (http://www.asloca.ch/?q=node/57) - they are the association in Geneva charged with protecting tenants rights. They'll probably have some advice for you. Plus, many regies don't want to mess with Asloca, so if you bring their name into the discussion you might gain some points.
