Registering with AVS for short term consultant roles

Hi,
Has anyone here gone thru the process of registering with AVS in order to hold short term consultancy roles? I am a Swiss Permit B holder and would like to also expand my options for work but doing this. I was told this was an option by an HR manager, and wanted to know more about it from anyone here.

I am a US citizen, but hold a Permit B right now that allows me to work.

Hi basically you must apply for "independent status" with AVS. You must submit a file supporting your status: contracts and mandates, invoices for fees, invoices for general & administrative charges, business plan & budgets, proof of professional liability insurance...

What will be very carefully scrutinized: who takes the economic risk of the activity, the organization of work, how work is completed, existence of multiple clients etc

For example, you are not independent if your expenses are reimbursed and that you give invoice originals to the provider of work, etc
