I've moved into, out of, and all around Geneva since 1995. Every move (6 total) has been accomplished by Harsh moving company, of Geneva. Yes, they're fairly expensive, but the quality of their work is exceptional. Others may see it differently, but I have had very good service from Harsh.

hi,

i can tell you that i used LUKER BROS. from Oxfortd, UK. they had the best pricing and good service. i used them for my move from ch to brussels, and back again and never had to pay any import duties. why? because they move your stuff via the UK before coming to CH.

i have the tel. number on one of the cartons at home ( you'll know the feeling of soooo many boxes, sooo little time)

Welcome (soon...) to Lausanne!

I heard that www.harsch.ch are very good (yet a bit more expensive than others), and I myself used www.pelichet.ch and was happy with them. Both can also store your stuff.

In any case, good luck on the move - I know how stressful it can be!

I used MS-Move (Schneider) in late 2003 with a 40ft container (Toronto - Lausanne). They are located just outside Lausanne. I had good luck with them. Here is the website with contact details:

Depending on what you have to move (big items) and where you are planning to live (access to the apt. etc.) you may want to ensure that the moving company has a elevator/lift truck system so they can move stuff up and over the balcony from the street rather that using the elevator or stairs.



Schneider can also store stuff at their warehouse.

harsch are indeed good, but indeed expensive. unless you move is ultra complex, or unless your company is paying for it, i'd use one of the other companies people here recommended.

+1 to Pelichet. I moved from Ukraine. As far as Pelichet doesn't operate in Ukraine they cooperated with Corstjens. Both are professional, all things were arranged quickly - all for my convenience. I cannot provide with their rates as my company covered everything.

I agree totally. They just moved my family from Meyrin village to Russin, maybe 10kms?

Cost was 10,000.00CHF.  OK - we had a lot of stuff. But not too complex of a move. - ground floor villa to a ground floor villa. But, had my company not been paying, I would have a very hard time justifying that much.
