Renting a small pick-up?

Hello all,

We found an apartment (yipee!) and will be moving from temporary to permanent housing very soon.  Unfortunately we didn't think through the whole process, and ended up having too many things shipped air freight to our temporary apartment - all of which we now have to move to our permanent apartment.

Any thoughts on where I could rent a small pickup or something, just for a few hours, at a reasonable price?

Thanks,

Sylvia

I would phone Sandy, www.manwithavan.ch

He is very good value, efficient, friendly service.  Will lift everything down and back up, no grubling even if no lifts and everything packed well to avoid damage.

I use him all the time when moving or even a quick trip to ikea, etc.

What I would suggest is to enquire as to how much it costs to hire one of those lifts that will "pass" your furniture up to your balcony or window, from the street down below (assuming you dont have a lift in the building, dont live on 20th floor, etc etc) - backbreaking stuff lifting furniture - might be expensive per hour, but will save you hours of actual work!
