Reporting Sexual Harrasment

Hello all,

I'm in the unfortunate position of needing to report sexual harrassment to the Geneva police. Does anyone have guidance about how to do this? Is there any way I can do it in English? The documentation is in English, so they police will need to understand English to look into the case. Is there an English-speaking police office I can send a letter to?

Many thanks and a Happy New Year to you,

Michelle

This office deals with all workplace problems, sexual harassement included,  - how to formulate and lodge a complaint - it may be worth contacting them regarding an english speaking service.

You being a woman, I presume the harassement is by a male - have you tried grabbing his testicles and telling him to back off!

Thank you so much to Tom, Shirley and Hesham, for your comments and support. You might be surprised, but this is not connected in any way to my job.

All the best to you!

Michelle,

I am fully support of fighting such an ugly issue.

However, I might give some words of advice, and is a bit of a warning.

Do not discuss anything on internet like names or subject matter. Never ever in social media or facebook or other. Keep smart and seek a swiss legal professional.

Defamation Laws In Switzerland. In Switzerlanddefamationslander and insult constitute a criminal act under Articles 173-1, 174, 175, 176 and 177 of the SwissPenal Code.

Google your rights in Switerland, but also the risks.

https://www.google.ch/search?q=slander+laws+in+switzerland&oq=slander+laws+in+switzerland&aqs=chrome..69i57.7525j1j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

and also google Swiss court cases, and you are going to be shocked.

Dont get angry and vocal, but ASAP get a professionals to help you.

Then OCIRT isn't for you, they only deal with workplace problems. I was jumping to conclusions. Well, at least it's a good thing it's not related to work colleagues.
