Resources for hikes, bike paths (level: easy), Geneva Underground

Hi all,

I thought I'd ask, anyone has a nifty list of websites recommendation which will help me  indentify hiking and biking getaways. I am more looking into day trips ...(easy level). And I rely on public transport as I don't have a car.

And also dare I ask, is there an underground art and culture scene in Geneva or am I asking for too much?

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hello Diya,

I use https://www.alltrails.com/ and https://www.sac-cas.ch/en/huts-and-tours/sac-route-portal/ to find hikes. The Swiss Alpine club portal is quite comprehensive.

Someone also shared their personal suggestions on glocals.com through Google maps (https://drive.google.com/open?id=17gleDabcsxBwTrxR2wxUwc17f8QAj8GH&usp=sharing). I am sorry I can't find the original link :(

Apart from that you might consider checking the International Ski Club website https://www.scig.ch/randonnees-pedestres/ because they organise single/multi-day hikes with car sharing. Most people speak English if that is what you are looking for. These are often posted on glocals too.

Cheers!

Hi Diya,

hope you have already enjoyed this season's beautiful weather outdoors. I wanted to Share with you some additional ressources whIsch might give you ideas.

i would suggest as well the app SwissMobile for Switzerland and Visorando for France (although for France you would need to find someone with a car). These are the ressources I use.

and as Pranjal suggested already, the SCIG mountain club offers really nice hikes (and snowshoe in winte) ranging from easy to difficult and everyone can speak English.

cheers

Denisa

I use Wikiloc to plan hikes and see the difficulty of the trail.
