If someone can find a venue, I have the DVD. I'm not one of those who dress up and so on, but I've been wanting to see it for a while and it's so obviously a movie to be seen in company.

I´m a fan too and have the DVD. Last time I saw a screening in Geneva but there was no audience participation, let alone dressing up. I´m always up for a group viewing...

It was in November 2007 in Plainpalais, in the moviehouse next to the Moulin Rouge. The Cine-club Universitaire always has screenings on Mondays at this place, the Auditorium Fondation Arditi. Last winter they had a series of music movies and hence the showing of RPHS.



In december I posted and ad here to arrange an apartment screening, but there was no response. I also thought of a screening at the Artamis, but now that squat is closed for good...

hmm... looks like Halloween continues.. and seeing how well people dressed up last week, I think you can easily start a craze here. Last time I saw RHS was...ermmm...uuuu... 20yrs ago, in HighSchool. though it was dull as, but now that i've grown up, I can fully appreciate the humor. so sure... i'd love to be a heckler in the crowd.

i think as long as we get the rights to a big screen, we can do this rocky horror thing.  and here are some suggetion of places with big screens:

1. Davinci's -> can help you arrange with the manager there who's very flexible
2. LadyGodivas -> get in touch with "Glen" on glocals
3. RestO's by Arthurs (Point de la Machine - bridge) -> they have screens surrounding the entire bar on the first floor!!!! Check it out next Wednesday at the After work Drinks by PatrickN. Speak to the manager Guillaume there for possibilities.
4. Shakers -> not sure if they have a screen, but maybe we can work something out.

so when should i start looking for a costume? :hehe:

I think we had some initial discussion about holding it at DaVinci's. Should all of us who are interested perhaps meet there at some point one night in the near future to plan and discuss?



Next week is a bit crazy, but perhaps Monday night? 9 pm? What do others think?

Its great fun though slightly violent and racey. I went many times at midnight to theaters armed with "toast" "rice" and other things. "Take a step to the right..." Hope to see an event posting for it soon.

I have seen RHPS several times in Geneva. Twice in "Cinelac" (now called OrangeCinema where audience's participation was great) and once in cinéma "Central" during a festival. It was not the most appropriate place, as people couldn't throw rice, toilet paper, rice and so on.

It would be great to rent a movie theater for such an event :-)

By the way, I have received the DVD's latest version, which includes many bonuses, such as a prompter which says what to do (e.g. use your water pistol) and when.

It is really an INTERACTIVE and unforgetable experience !!! Hope you'll make it !
