Running classes

I am writing a post to try and get a bit of feed back on a new course I am thinking of setting up.

I have had a few requests/inquiries as to whether or not I do any group classes for runners.

Objectives behind the class

-Change in biomechanics (run faster/more efficient)

-Increase in strength (helps for stronger running technique)

-Core strengthening (helps hold a better running pose)

Overall objective of the class is to allow people the chance to run better, quicker, stronger, and for longer but also lower the risk of injury.

Would this interest the people of geneva

Any thoughts/comments greatly appreciated

Would this be in Geneva? During winter or in Spring?

Hi Gareth. Are you thinking of this as a one-off workshop or a multi-week course? I'd be interested, I think some biomechanical/stride correction would certainly help with my running goals. There's a glocals "geneva runners" group which I run with, and might be a place for you to enquire about interest. Cheers, Melanie

It depends on time and frequency.

I currently only run because I like to, and have been doing it for the past year, but I've started to become a bit more competitive and want to work on speed. I have my second marathon in April and would ideally like to train and have a set time goal instead of just simply finishing. A friend has advised he can train me on speed, but I'll take all the help I can get!

Hello.

I will try to reply to you all in one message.

Bo. This would indeed be in Geneva. The idea would be to start during the winter when running becomes tougher and in theory you will be stronger, faster, and fitter for all the runs which start in the springtime. If the response is good then there is no reason why it could not continue all year round

Melanie. The idea would be a multiweek course. Maybe twice a week depending on how things work out. It takes a lot of time and repetition to change running techniques etc. How would I get this post involved in the running club? post a link on the group page?

Cindy. I think melanie asked the same question but as you see above it would be a multi week course. Goals are good and are what keep us motivated to keep going. Speed comes from strength and technique so be prepared for some hard work.

Denisa

The price would be the same as for any of my fitness classes.

25chf per session

This includes:-

- Video analysis plus breakdown of improvments and corrections

- Strength and core class

- tea/coffee after and selection of healthy snacks after

225chf for 10 sessions booked in advance

I dont think it is too bad
