Russell Brand hypocrite or not??

Hey so I checked out Russell Brands new Messiah Complex the full show on youtube and he was brilliant! It's all about sharing wealth, looking past the 15 minutes of fame etc etc anti-capitalism.. all fair points made in a very funny way. A very Russell Brand way. Brilliant right? Then I checked out the ticket prices for his show when the tour ends in Lausanne in feb 2014 and the tickets are 100 chf each...


And I thought to myself I am going to spend a 100 chf plus transport and beers and going to go and see a guy babble about communism and the benefits. SOmethings quite not right here. As much as I love Brand I think I'll be staying on youtube and might give torrents a go for a re watch..

I have seen him live twice both in London tickets were £40 so roughly half that but I tell you what I would happily 100 chf so see him again. Once was an very much non scripted open mike set where he sat cross legged on the front of the stage and did a Q&A qwith the audience which was hilarious the other a slightly more scripted show. He is a very funny chap interacts well with the audience.


It is somewhat ironic that now he is a champagne socialist but well he has to make a living like the rest of us. I suppose its just a pretty much cost adjusted increase from London.
