SKY TV

I intend to bring my Sky box over to Switzerland. Someone told me that I need to have it pointing in a certain direction and not all apartments can accommodate this?

I will also need someone to fit and supply the dish (preferably speaks English). I don’t have a balcony, but the railings on my windows will support a dish as I have noticed this on an apartment close to mine.

Any information would be greatly received including cost for dish and fitting!

Thanks

Russ

Russ, It's fairly easy to fit yourself as almost all the DIY shops have the equipment and lining up with a bit practice is easy.. There are special connectors that allow you to run the cable through a window or door.. I've done it using only a simple compass to align with the Satellite.

One comment to add is that you will want to confirm that your building will allow you to install a dish out of your window/on the railing.

Was the other dish(es) you saw on your building or on another building? If no dishes on your building, you might want to check that is is OK to install one before going to the expense of buying a dish. Some building managements are really picky about dishes as they "down grade" the building.

A couple of websites that you might want to look at for the setup if you decide to install it yourself.
