I know it is November and noone goes sailing at hte moment, but I would greatly appreciate if anyone could give me some tips as to where and how I could go sailing as of next spring. are there sailing clubs? can I rent a boat? Do they require a licence here? Does anyone know whether the German sailing licences are accepted?

License depends on sail size/engine if a MB... but a German Inshore/offshore skipper license is accepted for rentals, You probably will need to transfer it to a Swiss one if you plan buying a boat.

This summer I went group sailing with Patric, a GLOCALS member, and had a great time!!! Patrick just loves what he does and if he has any info to help you he will just share it or at least put you on the right track.
