How many of you are upset by the poor quality of materials in Do-it-yourself furniture from the likes of Ikea, Interio, or Top-Tip?
Here's a picture of some screws which were destroyed while screwing them in (two from a light fitting sold in Ikea, one from a light fitting sold by Top-Tip). The screws are made of such weak and inferior metal, that they could not stand the pressure of being turned. (Yes I was using the right size screwdriver and it was the smallest battery powered Ikea model qhich is not very powerful at all.
Now take this beautiful feasther light shade sold by Interio for CHF99. (Top-Tip sell the same one for CHF 89). When I got it home and opened the box I was dissappointed that it did not include any socket for the lightbulb. That wasn't the end of the world, but it adds to the price and the nuisance factor of having to return to the shop. More worrying is the flimsy wire you need to use to hold your light socket in place.
