Can you please provide any advice for shipping a box about 24 inches square, cardboard filled with 10kg of clothes-like things to the United States?
I don't care how long it takes to get there, it's just some things to return home. Price and ease for a non-French speaker are my two priorities.
I am at the Swiss/French border in Thonex.

I don't know, but it should be real easy to find out: just go to the Swiss post and the French post and compare the each and prices.
If at either of those places they don't speak enough English to even give you the price, then you have your answer about the ease...(-:

You can look at the website of each; I briefly looked for you - if it really is 10 kg, then it is cheaper in Switzerland (about CHF 77 as opposed to what looked like close to EURO 100, but the French post site was a bit less user friendly so perhaps there are more economical options).
For the price, you might want to see what an excess luggage cost would be...
