Short term internet contract

Hi!

I need to get the Internet connection at my apartment for 2-3 months.

Does anybody know if there is a (cheap & easy) way to do this?

Or it is always necessary to get 1-year proper contract?

Thanx!

No idea, but you can reach Swisscom free of charge at 0800 817 620. They speak English.

Depending on what you will be using it for, if just for email or social media, consider using a prepaid phonecard and use your phone for internet. In that case I`d advice Sunrise due to the lower cost (7,50 CHF for 250 MB). Although the network coverage isn`t as good as Swisscom, if you are mostly in the city this shouldn`t matter much.

As it`s highly unlikely you can get broadband internet for 3 months, you could also ask a neighbour if they would allow you to login to their wifi in return for paying a part of the bill.

Swisscom do this, pocket connect.. Mobile hotspot.  I only used it for a couple of weeks while I was moving house and didn't have the permanent stuff installed.  But it worked great, we used it for skype. general browsing etc etc.
