Ski Lessons for a true beginner

Just moved to Geneva and looking for advice on English speaking ski lessons -ideally nearby.  Would like to join a group lesson one weekend and dont want to pay over the odds.  Does anyone have any advice on where is best and how much i might expect to pay for the lesson including rental of all the gear required for the day?

Many thanks

Steven

We had our first lesson with:

Joe Beer BASI ISTD L4 & BASI Telemark L3 & Telemark Director

www.alpinelearningcurves.co.uk

email:[email protected]

Office telephone:   +33 (0)450 55 89 21

Joe's mobile:         +33 (0)6 78 83 23 20

Babs' mobile:        +33 (0)6 77 04 01 45

Joe was very good and is English, so no language problems.  We ski at Les Gets/Morzine/Avoriaz.  All of these are good for beginners, 1 hour drive from Geneva.  We had a private lesson but they do group lessons too.

Also try the International Ski Club of Geneva

www.scig.ch

They offer ski passes, group lesson and bus transportation all a la carte.  Great instructors and nice people.  Go to the weekly info session on Thursday nights and someone can give you all the info!
