Snooker Club in Geneva

Does anyone know if the club/bar with the two snooker players at Uni Mail (next door to Lady Godiva) has closed down?

Is there anywhere else in Geneva that has snooker tables?

Thanks

If I remember correctly, it's not a snookers table at Clubhouse, but a standard 8-ball table.  Only place I've seen with a snookers table was the one next to Godiva.  Wasn't aware that it was closed.

Nope, there is no snooker anywhere else in Geneva.  We have searched after the one near Godivas closed.  Shocking really!

To the best of my knowledge they're all closed now in Geneva. I think there was one in Carouge but even that's gone.

I don't know about snooker, but there's a place in Plainpalais where you can play classic pool - it's got 5 tables and it's 15 frs an hour. I cannot recall the name right now, but it's close to Lady Godiva, when walking towards tram 12....

On the subject of semantics, let’s get this straight once and for all.

Billiards – Game played on a 12’ x 6’ table with two white balls and one red made up of potting or cannons.
Snooker – Coolest game in the world, with 15 reds, 6 other colours requiring brain power, a good eye and the ability to think strategically.
Pool – Game played on a 6’ x 3’ table by 10 year olds, pikeys and blokes trying to impress their girlfriends. Rules are made up on the spot and the game is usually a precursor to a fight in the pub car park.
Continental billiards – Played on a snooker table designed by a Frenchman in 1764. However, being French they fucked up the design and forgot to put any pockets on the table. Therefore, in the same vain as someone who treads in dogshit and says, “No! I meant to do that!” the idea of a game made up of cannons only stayed.
