Solutions of separating an apartment - if dry wall doesn't work

Hey people,

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice, me and a friend took an apartment and were gonna put in dry wall, but it seems the landlord has changed opinion on this and is against putting in a dry wall, which sucks.

Now, back in the US I'd just get like big stand up dividers and solve it like that, but I don't know if that exists here, do any of you have any suggestions or ideas how to go about this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best,

Andy
