I know it sounds unbelievable but I can say it is true.

The problem here is that there is so many sorts which take up everything that the peak hours are taken.

If you are interested in playing then i would recommend trying to join a club already with pitch time. If not you would have to look at renting during the day.

I know its not much help but I am part of a hockey club and we have always the same problem each year.

thanks for the feedback Gareth. Good to get confirmation that this is indeed the case however still very disappointing. I see many outdoor all weather surfaces with flood lights lying idle in Bout du Mond and La Fontenette a few nights during the week that could be used. Any contact that I make with them to enquire about renting just falls on deaf ears.

if you are looking for outdoor then i would recommend trying stade de richemont in the eaux-vives quarter of geneva. 

They have an all weather pitch that normally can be rented in the evenings during the winter months (Monday is already booked for the winter but apart from that I dont think it is being used)
