St. Patrick's Day is less than two months away
It's never too early to start planning something. I'm notoriously bad at planning, so I'm hoping that this will plant the seed that something great should happen on the 17th of March and someone will run with this! St. Patrick's Day is on a FRIDAY this year, so there is marvelous potential here.
Just thought some of our great party planners (cough Corinne cough) should have some lead time on this one. :)

AND less than two months after St. Patrick's day is Queen's Day (April 30th). I've got my orange crown all ready!

It's an international city; so many opportunities to celebrate! Is this considered embracing diversity?

Yes it is considered diversity celebrating everypossible party .. and be sure that Geneva has (and had in the last 2 years) had a wide variety of choices for S.Patrick's day ... (for what I can recall ...)
so ... keep it in mind and let's start planning something.
A friend of mine had a great idea... why don't we do a MonopolyPub?
(I have a Geneva based version of monopoly and we can play with buying "pubs" instead then houses!!)

Cheers

I always consider St Patricks Day the second best day of the year (after the 26th of January of course)so am more than keen to hear any ideas that may be forthcoming as to what to do.
Actually, as it's on a Friday, anyone up for a little trip to Dublin?! Ha ha...

It is possible, if u book ur flight with Aerlingus now. Direct flight from Geneva to Dublin (1h15mn) it will cost u between (price include VAT and taxes):

CHF 249,50 - leaving GVA Friday 17th at 3pm and back on Monday 20th at 2.20pm

CHF 354,50 - leaving GVA Friday 17th at 3pm and back on Sunday 19th at 2.20pm

I'm not a Dubliner... but if you need tips, I'll be glad to help u out.
