I've been to Alhambar twice for brunch, and I really like it there.
They've got a menu with omelettes, fried eggs, American pancakes, birchermüslie (of course), bread with butter and jam, blinis with smoked salmon, cakes etc. They've also got a "set brunch menu" for 20 chf. Though I like the fact that you can pick and choose from the menu, and that you're not stuck with what they choose to put on your plate. I 've had the plain omelette which was very tasty for being a plain omelette - fluffy and of generous proportions. I've also had the 'tartine' with jam, which I thought would be some tiny little bread things, but which turned out to be half a baguette!
The atmosphere is really nice, and it's also smoke free until 15h00. In other words, it's a nice place to hang out on a Sunday morning/ early afternoon. A lot of people seem to think so, so it's recommended to book a table to be on the safe side!
Geneva doesn't seem to have much of a brunch culture (where I'm from brunches always come in buffets, but that kind of brunch doesn't seem to exist here), so I think Alhambar is as good as it gets here. Although it would be interesting to hear if someone knows of an even better brunch spot (someone told me that there's a really good place somewhere in Eaux-vives that has excellent home made quiches, but he couldn't remember the name of it).
Cheers,
Charlotta
