Hello everyone!
My name is Lisa, and I’m moving to Geneva in late August/early September for an internship. I'm currently looking for housing in the greater Geneva area, with a budget of around 1000 CHF/month.
A little about me: I'm 24 (turning 25 this fall) and originally from Sweden. I'm coming to Geneva to pursue my passion for international law and human rights, and I’ve been awarded a scholarship to support my internship in the field.
Another big reason for my move is to improve my French—I’m currently at a B1/B2 level thanks to family and friends, and I’d love to become more fluent through everyday use. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling, and I really value getting to know people from different cultures. I've lived abroad before and always enjoy the international vibe!
As a roommate, I’m tidy, considerate, and social, but I also respect personal space and quiet time. I’ve shared homes with people of different ages and backgrounds, and can provide references if helpful. Fun fact: I used to work as a legal advisor at a tenants’ union, so I truly understand the importance of being a responsible and respectful tenant.
If you have any leads on rooms, apartments, or shared housing—or just general advice on navigating Geneva’s rental market—I’d be incredibly grateful!
Thanks so much for reading, and I hope to connect with some of you soon.
Best regards,
Lisa
