I hope they will extend their opening hours, last summer they were open until 9pm one day a week (Vernet).

I meant renew, the fee includes both places.
That's great to know. Thank you Mike
Hi Mike,
Thank you for this information. Do you know if Vernet has a smaller sized pool in addition to the olympic sized one?

Karina yes, there is a smaller size pool next to the olympic one, at least at Vernet, Varembe I don't know because I have never been there.

Thank you Frederuca! i will go and check it out :)
You're welcome Sarah.
Yes 6 francs per day, or 20 francs for 30 days, and acces to both as I mentionned. Varembe has 3 pools, the biggest one is 30 meters long, 6 lines if not mistaken. Also has an outside pool opened in summer(no grass), and a restaurant on the ground floor( pool and sauna is below).
Vernet has 3 pools as well(+ sauna), biggest is 50 meters, smallest for kids, and an outside place for summer (grass). Also has a restaurant with great burgers. Free city wifi as well both places.

Cool, I didn't know that Varembé has a sauna as well. Thanks!
Btw, do people in Geneva go to the sauna nude? Sorry for the silly question, but after three years in the U.S. I learned to be cautious...

Hi Monika,
It's not a silly question. In most places, like Bains des Paquis, or Hotels , in Geneva nudity is normal and accepted. Some places have saunas for men and women separately, some commun.
In Vernet and Varembé the use of swimm suit is manditory, as well as a towel.

I'm with Monika, I had no idea there was a sauna at Varembe. Where? (I've swum there for years, though not in recent months.) Is it new?

Hi Federica,
I didn't spell your name incorrectly intentionally. It was just a typo. Apologies.

The one and only sauna I'd suggest in Geneva is at the Bains des Paquis: Sauna, Lake, Hammam, Turkish Baths, Massage, Relaxation room, and Champagne Fondue for afterwards.

It' s between the pool and the big glass windows that gives to the outside.

Definitely a great place, specilay theyr fondue!, and theyr greek salad in summer is a must. As for sauna it's 20 francs per day (I don't know if they have regular rates), whereas Vernet and Varembe is 20 per month for pools and saunas. That's the reson I started this tread. As for massage I do have a tendency to recommend myself..., since it's my work.

Just wanted to add that also in Bain des Paquis nudity is not a must. Wearing a swim suit is also fine, in case you feel uncomfortable afterwards. It seems that the majority of women ar actually doing that - which makes me wonder what reputation the Gevea guys have ;-)

How does one edit a post here???
Two more questions now that I finally made it to Varembé:
Is the monthly ticket for the Geneva pools valid for 30 days from the day of purchase, or is it always for one calendar month (i.e. Dec 1-31)?
And for how long is the 10 entries ticket valid? Is it valid for both Varembé and Vernets?

Hi Monika,
The monthtly ticket is from day of purchase, valid for both places.
I don't know how long the 10 entries is valid ?, and it should be valid for both as well I would assume.

The indoor pool is heated to 29 deg (according to http://www.badi-info.ch/a/genf.html - I can confirm it's quite warm) and the air is also fairly warm.
