TCS membership?
My yearly subscription ends in Dec 2009 however, due to the fact i no longer have a car i canceled my membership with TCS. In March I received a letter to say I am not entitled to any refund-is this correct?

Thanks

Yes, several months notice is required before you can cancel membership. I got a new car recently and breakdown assistance was included in the deal. When my TCS subscription came round I informed them that I wasn't renewing it only to be informed that I should have informed them 3 months before the subscription was up.

this is just another example of one of the biggest "scams" now existing in switzerland: hidden cancel dates. living on the sole existance that you might not remember the date to cancel by, thus you are re-enrolled for another year, forever. for example i know, knew, dead people who can never get out of dvdfly.ch, tcs, sillouette, memberships...only because they are too dead to remember they must contact them. "automatic-renewal" was invented by companies with no real customer service or real useful product...

Hehe.

I didn't get my NZZ on Sunday last Sunday, because the test-subscription (which I didn't choose, I chose a full subscrption right on but they changed it into a test-subscription) ran out and they forgot to follow-up with me to extend the subscription beyond the test-period.

Normally, you don't get rid of these test-subscriptions - but apparently not with NZZ ;-)
