Hi Perly,

Sorry no advice for the time being, just a few thoughts. I myself practice Tai Chi that I learned in China, met a friend here who have been to various courses and was disappointed, so if you find a good Tai chi course, do let me know. As we say in China, it is very important to choose a good Tai Chi master, otherwise you will pick up bad habits that you need to undo afterwards...

Cheers,

Dear All,

Good to know that people are interested in Tai Chi.

Perly I didn't know that you were a trainer yourself. Well your need is probably different than that of a learner... Which school of Tai Chi do you practice ? Maybe I can refer my friend to you:)...

Hi papagena

I practise the school of Yang, Tai chi chuan 24 ,32 forms something like the 42 forms done by the chinese performers in the opening cerermony of Beijing olympic games. I do chin na and chi kong ,as well.I would be glad to find people like myself to do tai chi and get the energy of others by doing it together.

Hi Perly,

Keep me posted as I am a fan of TaiChi. There is a school that do it but not so great "quality" but its in one of the oldest Judo-Aikido Club in Geneva (Judo Club de Geneve). I practice my Aikido with them, its an excellent place for that which I strongly recommend if anybody is into Aikido.

cheers,

Mike.

Hi Pilar,

Just show up in the place to check him out if he is "suitable" for your need. There is already a class going on earlier (19h30) but for more advance students.

Cheers.,

Mike.

Hello,

I am doing the Tai Chi in the Judo Club de Geneve, rue Goetz-Monin.

What is nice is that it is from 12.30 to 13.30, so if you have kids, you don't need a evening for that.

I was a judoka in France for a while, and since I had my thre year old boy, I have stoped training on evenings. So as my Judo Sensei was starting Tai Chi, I found it great.

It is less injuries, more relaxing, and the fighting form is fun (feels like being a chaolin :-)
