Taking a toddler in a taxi

Does anybody have any experience in taking a toddler in a taxi?

Do you have to use a child seat?

Who is normally providing it? (the taxi driver or you) and if you provide the seat how do you carry it around???

The text you are quoting:

Yeah, you have to use a Child seat.

Most of the taxi drivers do not have a child seat on their car, so it is usually your resp to carry one with you.

Another better solution is to check with the taxi company to reserve a taxi with a child seat.

Actually, there is a law that is not really enforced. Each taxi driver has to have a seat adapted to each child age (average 3 seats). Of course, the drivers don't want to do it, otherwise no space for luggage.

What you have to do is inform the taxi company you are carrying a child with you and they will check with the drivers who has a baby chair. Several drivers have refused to take me or other of my friends with kids, because they couldn't be bothered to put a chair for them.
