I use the office of Antoinne Gautier ([email protected]). He speaks English and is based in center town. He can either help, or refer you to someone who can.
Alternatively, write to member Deano1UK on glocals. Deano works for a financial advice firm in GVA, and could surely refer you to the right person.
Good luck, and hope you'll pay low taxes! (-:

Hi Nir,
I had a transition year 2008; most of a year on B permit (impot a la source) and last quarter on C permit (haven't paid any taxes for this part yet).
In 2009 I'm thinking of doing my regular/ company job and run an indipendent activity part time on a side. Do you think your tax advisor is good enough to help sort it out and really ADVICE how to pay least possible taxes on this?
Does anyone know a skillful and flexible tax advisor who actually advises and is not only a tax clerk? :doze:
This is a topic some other people asked me about as well. Thanks for bringing out.

Just to clear up what I do in the big areana of personal finances, I´m first and foremost a financial planner and investment adviser, not a tax specialist. I do know of a few people in the city, but rather than splash random names on a public forum, feel free to drop me a private email and I´ll advise accordingly. What I do know from my experience in local tax planning is that unlike the UK or the USA, where I have most knowledge of working practices, here in Geneva there seems to be a more evolving and shifting set of boundaries that no local tax adviser is competent in fully. Quite often if you´re an expat or non-Swiss, your tax adviser will do all he can to satisfy the basics, but will often advise you to speak with a tax specialist in your home country too!
So in summary I´d be happy to have chat with anyone to see if I can help - My expertise within personal financial planning is actually tax avoidance anyway, so there´s a fairly big overlap that should be of interest to anyone non-Swiss.... different rules apply to most permit holding residents that should be used to full advantage.
I hope that helps.... and Happy New Year!
Dean.
