I used to pay an average of CHF 40 for a daytime ride from the Eaux-Vives to the airport .  A return journey in the late evening was about the same price because there was less traffic.

However, I now hire the services of a glocals member called Raed, so have a look at his website.

The price depends on the length of the journey, the time of day or night, etc.

With Uber on average it costs us on average CHF 27 from Plainpalis to the airport. It's sometimes less like CHF 23 was the lowest and highest was CHF 40 in heavy traffic. I say Uber is worth taking, but it becomes addictive because we now only take Uber home from the airport when we would exceptionally use Geneva Taxis! Overall (per year) it works out more for us, but you get the feeling in the moment ;)

If you want to be sure of the best price from Geneva taxis the best thing is to write an email  in advance to them asking the price, print it out and take it with you to the taxi you have ordered. This way any taxi sharks will be unable to overcharge you.

Besides the fare they will charge 1fr/min for waiting outside

I wonder how much Taxi will cost at early morning like 5am from Onex, Bernex or the villages areas around them...
