Teacher of English and or Corporate Trainer work in this part of the world

Hi Glocals

I'm writing for some advice as I've never been to Switzerland before, the internet is wonderful!!!

I'm probably moving to Lausanne in the coming months with my Swiss girlfriend who tells me there's lots of work in Geneva.  Though currently employed as a junior manager and teacher of English by a great, big, global organisation unfortunately they don't have offices in Switzerland.  So I'm looking for new horizonsSmile

I guess there's a few things:

- best schools / universities by reputation

- anyone an English teacher / trainer who can PM me

- best corporate training organisations

- anything else you think I need to know about teaching / working in training / finding work in education in Switzerland... Wink

cheers

Ed

Ed,

Don't let Bounci get you down.

Here's a few quick tips on what you asked:

Schools with programs in English:

IMD (one of the best in Europe and globally for business, in Lausanne)

Webster (non profit American uni, in GVA)

I'm sure there are more, I only know of those 2.

Work:

If you have an EU citizenship, it will make your life far easier work-permit wise. If not then finding work will become more limited to big multinations, who are more willing to apply for a work-permit for non-EU folks.

The major multinationa employers in Lausanne are:

Philippe Morris

EUFA

Again, sure there are more.

Lemme know if more questions and will try to help.
