on the back of the forum "what makes a bar great", I thought I'd start another forum trying to get everyones views on the Best Bar in Geneva.
For some, it will be traditional bar, for some it will be a sports bar, for some a music fun bar and for others maybe a club.
As a a newbie to Geneva I am intersted in others views as I appear to be struggling to find anywhere good although Little Buddha was excellent.

Fenomeno is great when they arrange special evenings (when they invite a DJ for example). They are really nice. Nevertheless, some evenings the place is almost empty :(
I would recommend Café du Lys (Plainpalais) or l'Aiglon (Pâquis).

I just stated that sometimes I find this place (where I love to go) empty. I do not have statistical data about the daily attendance in the Fenomeno. But all things considered, I should have mentioned "les 5 portes" or "le Olé Olé" in the same area (Pâquis). To my mind, they are really nice places too.

In a shadowy place in the back of the graveyard, so it's calm and cool, and in a spot with regular grave stones around you so yours doesn't look cheap.

La Parfumerie (really nice 80s parties organised once a month I think)

what about night clubs? Any recommendations ? Have only found the one under the Kempinsky and that was ridiculously expensive and not much fun.

Try "The Palais Mascotte" at Rue de Berne. Fun place.
