It would seem that racist Swiss newspapers are under attack as well.... not soon enough as far as I am concerned.

We are all aware of the racism towards Roma`s. But focussing on only just those racist arguments is not all that should be done as the story around Roma`s will stay in a negative spiral. The racists saying Roma`s are only criminals and others pointing out how racist the racists are.

What the Roma`s need is promotion of their addition to, for example the Swiss society. Some possitive news might be able to change the focus and weaken racist arguments.

May I remind you that because of all the insults and trolls against us, our fight against crime in Geneva and human trafficking, especially Roma-children trafficking, that contributes to the insecurity in Geneva, can be treated only either via internal direct messages to me within my http://www.glocals.com/#/groups/geneva-risk-awareness-group.htm and/or - preferably - by direct e-mails to me, or also via private messages in my http://twitter.com/MediterrNewsNet that keeps you updated about these issues....

Please note that those people originally NEVER did read the incriminated issue of DIE WELTWOCHE! But also most of the other critics too, even in Switzerland (where that issue was on sale in the Geneva kiosks only this TUESDAY!!!)...

You're right Thomas. Good news rarely makes BIG NEWS, one has to work harder to dig it out and at times it’s far nearer than we think it is, while we base all our opinions upon what truly makes news. Also, the ones who are aware do not spread the 'awareness' as much as those who promote stereotypes, for obvious reasons.

Now that you ask for the good stuff - some Roma that I've met are usually brilliant at analysing visual data, which maybe from a self-defense strategy that has evolved over years of moving about. One in this region, who could neither read nor write, passed the French code de la route & driving tests in his first attempt...I have seen locals struggling at it themselves. I should also add...I'm battling with it myself, despite having driven over 7,000 km during my first year in la France.

Here's another one who has been on the French news lately. She had to win a national prize in order to be accepted & turn legal.

Harry, You seem to have reason for your fight. Except, unlike you, not everyone reads the entire column. On newspapers and magazines, many make up their minds upon seeing the cover as no one reads all of them.

People also see others reading them in public places and decide on what the news may be about.

By the way, this evening in the TV-Program ZDF, there is at 22:15 Swiss Time again Mayrit Illner's "Polit-Talk" with the usual guests, indirectly discussing Günter Grass's last stunt. Always funny to watch...

But we should be aware that soon the Trolls will be marching in... A friend just told me that on top of Glocals.com is written that this is a Fun Site. Therefore there are many people not contributing anything to the debate, but just bitching around. They give a f.. about about our issues, but many of them would LOVE to f... one of those gypsy girls or boys. You should be aware that most of those alrightniks. nogoodniks and boozers earn at least TWICE as much than a native, and so they think everything is allowed. I know this crowd from Brussels and Athens...
