The airport in Lyon...

Hi, has anyone flown out of the Lyon airport? How easy it to get from the train station to the Airport in Lyon. Flying out of Lyon will save us close to $1000 US but we don't know if it will be more of a pain then anything. Your experiences and/or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rochelle

If I remember well, Lyon airport has a railway station also. So it shouldn't be difficult to go from Lyon main railway station to the airport. There are also buses doing this itinerary. On the other hand, you are saving 1000$ by flying from Lyon right? So in the worst case, why don't you just take a taxi? ;-)

Lyon = 445,452 (1999)
Geneva = 185,526 (2004)
and only has 1 airport Lyon Saint-Exupery (former name was Satolas)

but since this airport welcomes general aviation traffic – especially business and recreational aviation – and provides various aviation services, it doesn't really count for me. :-)
