Trouble with the SBB CFF FFS?

In case you ever have trouble with the SBB CFF FFS, for instance in the case of a rejected refund in the case of delays, I can highly recommend contacting the Swiss mediation services for public transport http://www.voev.ch/Contact_Service_de_mediation.html

After having experienced the SBB unwillingness to handle my complaint, I contacted them for help. The result is an excuse from the SBB and of course the refund I was entitled to Smile

Hi!  I have a question about SBB online tickets.  I am right now in Frankfurt, and earlier I had bought return online tickets to go back to Geneva tmr.

HOwever, there has been a change in plans and I am instead flying off to London tmr.  So I would like to have at least a change of date (as I go to Frankfurt pretty often).  On the ticket, it is stated that refund/exchange is subject to a fee, but the website says a totally different thing - I do not fulfil any of their strict conditions for a refund and no mention of exchanges is mentioned except "online tickets generally cannot be exchanged or refunded".

It is also stated as "TEE full fare ticket", not a supersaver, although I used a half fare card.  I am eager to prove to SBB that it is only partially used and would like a refund or exchange for a later trip (Frankfurt->Geneva ), esp before the date of travel (tmr) - because somewhere I read that refunds are more likely if it is before travel date.  BUT HOW?

I went to the German train stn and they said that since the tickets are sold by SBB, they cannot do anything for me (if I had bought from them, they said I can actually make my own changes to the travel date online).  Who should I write to and who can I call?  Do I have a valid case for a refund or exchange since the ticket is a standard one?
