what do you mean with english version?
My friends and I buy games for various consolles (PS3, Wii, Xbox etc) here in Geneva, in any shop litterally and they always have various language options, usually the game will start automatically in the same language as the console settings (english for me for examples).

You shouldn't have any problems with that :)

Aye, I wondered whether that would be the case - although it's always nice to have the manual in English too if possible.

I went to Virtual Dreams at Place du Cirque this afternoon and picked up a game. I'll try it when I get home later...!

Well I guess I got lucky then because my Tiger Woods (an EA game) is indeed in English! Damn goot tip about Amazon though, I'll be doing that in future since Tiger cost me 109chf compared to 25GPB (41chf) on Amazon!

At FNAC they order products for you on request in another language. You have to pay like 50% in advance. I bought a PDA there, after one week I could pick up my english version.

Een option if you have reasonable fast internet, lets say 4mb, is to download Steam.
When steam is installed you can purchase games as a download in any language that the game is available. You can install a game as often as you like, so if your harddisk would die you can install again. You will create your own steamaccount and all the games you buy will be registered in there. I have around 10 games now and use steam for 6 years.

In case it's no option for you, you can buy the game at an online store. Just make sure if you buy a multiplayer game at EBAY or Amazon in the US, in some cases you can only play on US servers. Also might it be censored. Buy it from the UK or Netherlands then your sure English is supported.

Ow and if you buy online in another country make sure you send it as a gift to yourself. It saves you import expenses. I forgot once when buying 4 CD's at Amazon US and paid 25CHF at the post office.
