you could join groupon, deal.ch, etc. i got a really good deal staying in 4 star hotel for 2 nights in bijou hotel in berlin, with breakfast, one dinner and a bottle of champagne for the room, cost was 150 swiss francs. you need to register and then they regulary send notifications of deals.
