Pierre,
If you're talking about a regular Visa or MC credit card, then any retail bank (incl UBS) will issue you one. As far as I know Visa and MC don't have a debit card like Maestro.

I mean Visa or MC DEBIT card not Maetro. I know i can get Credit card but im interested about debit card and it seems here banks give Maetro only. It's realyl useless as while in Germany they only accept Maestro German and i can't register a Maestro in Paypal and Maestro is not acepted to buy Onlien ( UBS sucks there ) While In Danmark i open an accoutn and receive MC debit card and use it EVERYWHERE ..... so i were wondering if a bank would give a visa or MC dbit like in other country. i DO NOT WANT a credit card !!

Just to correct on fact: Both Maestro and MasterCard are products of the same company - Master Card International. The first one is debit while the second one is a credit card.
Pierre I think it varies with country to country and each Bank can choose what is the scope of their card e.g. UBS Masetro only used with in Switzerland. I guess this had some thing to do with how much MasterCard will charge UBS for utility with in CH or world-wide.
If UBS Masetro doesn't work with Paypal or outside of CH, then I will be highly doubtful if any other bank will be offering anything different; because otherwise UBS will compete to have similar rights for its card holders.
I have a UBS credit card, and you can choose to first limit to smaller limits and also that it gets the payment by direct-debit. This way, it kind of becomes a debit card as you won't pay any interest since all of your transactions will be directly debited from your current account. This way one neither pays any interest on credit use except a yearly fee..

According to UBS website, its Maestro card should be useable in other countries...
