I am not working for a while and looking for some volunteering opportunities to make the world better: )) I've searched through the forum and found some links to organizations which need free translators; though I would prefer to help people, who are really in trouble (maybe old people..). I would appreciate any advices where I can find such job. It would be better to find something english-speaking, as my french is really weak..

The United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) organizes the fourth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction at the International Conference Centre (CICG) in Geneva, Switzerland, from Sunday 19 May to Thursday 23 May 2013.
On this occasion ICVolunteers, an international non-profit organization specialized in the field of communication, supports UNISDR recruiting volunteers. For this event, we are looking for about 100 volunteers to fulfill various tasks, such as reporting, editing, room supervision, registration desk and information desk.
