I have been searching Coop, Migros and Manor, but no success... Who knows where I can find chocolate couverture and garden cress in Geneva or neighbouring France (Annemasse area)?
Any hint will be highly appreciated! :-)

maybe globus?
Stephanie, you can easily find chocolat de couverture online. Cerf Dellier will deliver fast and their prices are very competitive. They carry organic, regular, dark, milk, white, etc. You can buy 1kg, 2.5kg or 5kg packs. They even have dozens of funky chocolate molds in stock... If you prefer to pick up a few packs in person, try organic stores (e.g., Satoriz in Annemasse/Gaillard or BioFrais in Saint-Julien) or places that sell chocolate to local pastry shops and chocolatiers. Note that there is a Jeff de Bruges factory in Etrembières and they might sell couverture chocolate to the public. In Geneva, I recommend asking at Auer (downtown) or looking for Villars Noir 60% in grocery stores.
As for garden cress, I suggest you check out local markets. There was some at the Sunday market in Collonges a few weeks ago. I have seen garden cress at Géant Casino in Annemasse, too. Ask for cresson and see what they come up with...

Stephanie: Just heard you can find a promotional sale on Chocolat de couverture in Aldi stores at Fr. 99.- for 200grms pack in Geneva.
Otherwise look for Chocolate bars for cooking straight from supermarket shelves on french side at Intermarché or GEANT Casino . You can also find supply of garden cress/ "cresson" in those stores and at week-end street markets locations. Bon appetite

Thank you very much for your valuable tips!
I checked Globus - they have chocolate couverture (as does the City Coop in rues basses, apparently it has a greater variety of goods than the one at 2000 Eaux-Vives). The price was absurd, but I had to swallow the bitter pill as I went there before Milord replied...
I then went to Aldi and there actually was some couverture left! :-)
Cécile, I will surely check out Cerf Dellier next time, this time was just too short notice to wait for a delivery.
Géant Casino didn't have what I needed when I was there last Saturday, but I will keep my eyes open.
And I found garden cress at City Coop, too (however chopped), so I have a backup if I don't find "real fresh" garden fress on a market.
